Buy memory first. CPU second.

Most “best VPS” lists optimize for sticker price. Apps die on RAM, not on missing a fractional vCPU. We sort value as monthly USD divided by GB of RAM on plans we track.

Verdict: Contabo and Hetzner win raw $/GB in Europe. OVHcloud is close on entry tiers. In the US lane, Vultr’s 2 GB Cloud Compute often beats DigitalOcean on pure memory economics — DigitalOcean still wins if you value docs and fewer surprises.
